Open Air Village's preferred destination for unique farm and nature centered experiences.
Agraria is an educational and research center that explores and demonstrates the benefits of regenerative practices at multiple levels—from the environmental, economic, psychological and social, to their impact on human health and well-being. Soil regeneration is the root-bed of this work.
Agraria is a project of the Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions.
Nature Based Education
Ohio Naturally's mission is to guide families, programs, and schools to arrive at a more natural and research-based approach to learning. Director Meredith Florkey has been instrumental in assisting the Gay's with building connections for Open Air Village. Visit Ohio Naturally's website for a wealth of information about area initiatives to promote outdoor learning.
LITTLE SCHOOLHOUSE IN THE WOODS
Lee and Jason Hamzy provide a wholesome environment with plenty of play in a beautiful setting. Little Schoolhouse in the Woods is a natural, nurturing Outdoor Education Program serving preschool age children, in the ourdoor environment of Mount Airy forest. The Gay's are continually inspired by the Hamzy's program and are partners in advocating for nature education.
